Farewell To 2014 With Widespread Panic

Now that Widespread Panic has officially announced its New Year’s Eve plans, you can make yours too. The guys have also set a date for its annual Tunes For Tots benefit concert.

After spending New Year’s Eve in Atlanta in 2013, the Southern rockers will return to the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, N.C., which hosted the band’s NYE shows in 2011 and 2012.

You can also find Widespread Panic in Charlotte on Dec. 30. The ninth annual Tunes for Tots concert takes place at The Fillmore.

The band’s inaugural Tunes For Tots charity VIP cocktail party and concert in 2005 raised more than $100,000 to purchase instruments for Georgia Public Schools. Widespread Panic has continued to support music education, raising more than $1,200,000.

Additional details and ticket information about the NYE and Tunes For Tots shows are still to be announced.

As for now, tickets are on sale for Widespead Panic’s fall tour, which launches with two nights in North Charleston, S.C., Oct. 3-4. And you can catch the band at a handful of festivals in the next few months including in Bridgeport, Conn.; in Arrington, Va.; and in Danville, Ill.
