Live Nation Offers To Pay L.A Fest Costs
Live Nation is offering to pay $850,000 to cover Los Angeles city and county costs related to the Labor Day weekend Made In America festival taking place in downtown’s Grand Park , which is jointly operated by the two government entities.
The L.A. City Council is considering a proposed contract with the concert promoter in which LN would be billed a flat $500,000 for “services” provided, according to the Los Angeles Times, which adds that a 2009 law requires the city to recover all costs related to a special event.
Live Nation reportedly would pay an additional $350,000 to the county for its share of costs.
The Times reports that Live Nation has also agreed to pay for any damage to the landscaping at Grand Park, in addition to the payment.
