Open’er Goes It Alone
Poland’s Open’er Festival appears to have struggled through its first year without a major sponsor as sources estimate attendance down 40 percent to about 30,000 per day.

The festival, which is on the country’s Baltic coast at Gdynia, parted company with main sponsor Heineken brewery after last year’s event, when the 10-year contract came to an end.
The city of Gdynia is believed to still be helping out to the tune of 3 million zlotys ($990,000).
Open’er promoter promoter Alter Art canceled its 2014 Coke Live Music Festival after the soft drinks sponsor pulled out.
The acts on this year’s Open’er July 2-5 included MGMT, Pearl Jam, Phoenix, The Black Keys, Haim, Interpol, Darkside, Bastille, and Rudimental.
