Tori Amos To Play With Sydney Orchestra

After a five-year absence, Tori Amos returns for solo theatre shows through Live Nation.

The kickoff date, at  Nov. 11, sees her accompanied by the 42-piece Sydney Symphony Orchestra. She then does theatres in Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane Nov. 15-21.

Live Nation has U.S. wellness coach Jillian Michaels for her first appearances downunder. She play four concert halls Oct. 24 to Nov. 1.

Popfrenzy brings back Argentina’s Juana Molina for four theatre stops Sept. 25-28.

Gary Allan returns after six years, with fellow-U.S. acts The Mavericks and Blackjack Billy. The six dates Sept. 25 to Oct. 4, by Rob Potts Entertainment Edge and Chugg Entertainment, take in three theatres and slots on CMC Rocks North Queensland and the Deni Ute Muster.

Bone Thugs N’ Harmony do 14 clubs for Kingdom Sounds Aug. 9 to Sept. 4.

U.S. alt-folk act John Murry, who was in the country this year for the Sydney Festival, returns through Gaynor Crawford Presents for two club dates. He’ll also be recording his next album in the Dandenong Ranges, outside Melbourne, with Australian producer Mark Stanley and Irish producer Karl Odlum.

Seattle-based band Night Beats makes its live debut in Australia with five club dates along the East Coast Sept. 12-19. Promoters Strange Yonder and Sailor Jerry teamed them with Sydney band
