Exit’s Celebratory Party
Online fan comments suggest Serbia’s Exit Festival celebrated its position as one of Europe’s best major festivals with a four-day party July 10-13.
The average daily crowd was over 45,000, with an Exit recording-breaking 50,000 on Saturday.
While some fests suffer from artists that don’t show, this year’s Exit was apparently notable for the number of acts that didn’t leave.
Skrillex, Dub FX, and Tiga were reportedly among the acts who shelved or postponed their immediate plans to spend a little longer hanging at the party.
For the Exit organising team, the party was barely halfway through as their new Sea Dance Festival on the Budva Jaz Beach in neighbouring Montenegro was to run July 15-17.
Other acts helping Exit to party and raise its social network profile included Disclosure, Rudimental, Jamiroquai, Gloria Gaynor, Hurts, Pet Shop Boys, Underworld, and Suede.
