Jason Mraz Takes Over NYC

Jason Mraz has more fun up his sleeve for his world tour. And with an excursion and album called “YES!,” why not?! The singer/songwriter has followed up on the promise he made earlier this week of a special announcement for New York fans.

The world trek will include a mini outing dubbed “The Five Boroughs Tour.” The plan is to play six shows in five boroughs in one week, wrapping with two nights at Radio City Music Hall. That’s right – Brooklyn, The Bronx, Queens, Staten Island and Manhattan will all be getting visits from Mraz. He points out that the journey is a first for him and something that’s only been done by two other artists.

He’ll be joined by his longtime friends and YES! collaborators, Raining Jane. YES! was released on Tuesday, marking his fifth studio album.

Here’s the itinerary for the NYC trip:

Sept. 17 – Brooklyn, N.Y., Walt Whitman Auditorium
Sept. 18 – Bronx, N.Y., Lehman Center For The Perf. Arts
Sept. 19 – Flushing (Queens), N.Y., Colden Auditorium
Sept. 20 – Staten Island, N.Y., St. George Theatre
Sept. 22 – New York, N.Y., Radio City Music Hall
Sept. 23 – New York, N.Y., Radio City Music Hall

A fan club presale as well as a Citi cardmember presale are ongoing now. Live Nation is hosting a presale that begins Friday, July 18. Tickets go on sale to the general public Monday, July 21.
