First-Ever Source360 Expo Set For September
Planned as a celebration of The Source’s 25th anniversary as well as a testament to hip hop’s influence on just about everything under the sun, Source360 Expo will offer art exhibits, film screenings, tech summits and, of course, music. Events will take place at the Barclays Center, Brooklyn Academy Of Music, Long Island University and at locations throughout Brooklyn’s cultural district.
The Source and NorthStar are promising that Source360 will give attendees access to “top industry leaders, influencers, enthusiasts and brands.” Run DMC, Wu Tang Clan, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Common, Spike Lee, Danny Simmons and MC Lyte are just some of the names being mentioned in this week’s announcement. A full-scale concert is planned for Barclays Sept. 20.
“This is an exciting and unprecedented opportunity to showcase how innovative and diverse hip hop culture is locally and globally,” said L. Londell McMillan, owner of the The Source and founder of Source360. “We are honored to bring this total market experience to the community and hope that it will inspire and embolden people to network, unite and create more positive contributions to the world.”
