Global Gathering Steam
South Korean electronic dance festival Global Gathering Korea is surging ahead, with the announcement that it will take place Oct. 4 at Olympic Stadium in the Jamsil Sports Complex in Seoul.

Previously, the event took place at the Caribbean Bay water park in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province.
So far, two acts have been confirmed, the Australian EDM project Knife Party, and American party animals Krewella.
Global Gathering is put on by the UK-based management company Angel Music, which stages similar events in Ukraine, Poland, Turkey, Russia, Belarus and Australia.
The first Korean edition was in 2009 and in the intervening years has invited acts such as The Prodigy, Underworld, David Guetta, Justice and Fatboy Slim to the proceedings.
