Reviving The Louisville Gardens

Louisville, Ky., officials are seeking a developer to reanimate the old and famous .

The arena, built in 1905, hosted Elvis Presley and Martin Luther King, Jr., among others. It was also the site of numerous sporting events and graduation ceremonies.

Officials believe it can be adapted for apartments, offices, retail or institutional purposes. A city official said there have been several expressions of interest in converting the 6,000-seat facility.
