That’s right.  You’ll need to RSVP to be considered for free tickets to this one. Although it’s a short run, the outing covers both coasts and includes a performance in Canada.  With Blackest and Arctic supporting on select dates, each stop will coincide with Converse Rubber Tracks pop-up recording studios in each city.

After High On Fire completes the Converse Rubber Tracks Tour the power trio will play the Hopscotch Music Festival in Raleigh, N.C. In Late September the band sets sail on , departing Miami for Sept. 22-26 cruise of the Caribbean.  And don’t forget about the band’s Sept. 27 slot on the recently announced in Portland, Ore.

High On Fire is also working on a new album, the band’s follow-up to 2012’s De Vermis Mysteriis. As to what fans can expect from the long player to be released in 2015 via eOne Music, drummer Des Kensel offers a little insight.

“Everyone is asking what the new High On Fire music sounds like,” Kensel said.  “Chew on some mescaline and listen to side B of Sabbath’s Master Of Reality backwards at 78 RPM and it might give you an idea.”
