Payne is suing Rock Vault Tours and the Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, which hosts the show, along with casino owner Westgate Resorts.

Payne, the former lead singer of Asia, claims he was not properly compensated for his contribution.

The musician was suspended from the production in May, then fired. Payne is also suing for allegedly slanderous remarks made by the defendants, according to Vintage Vinyl News.

Payne’s original agreement with Rock Vault Tours had him receiving 4.5 percent of the net box office until the initial investment was recouped, then 6.5 percent. His lawsuit alleged he was forced to assign his rights to the show or be fired and he did so without “adequate consideration,” according to VVN.
