Got a Who souvenir stashed away in the attic?  Perhaps a playbill advertising an appearance by The Detours or maybe a maybe a rare demo that Pete Townshend hasn’t included in his Scoop series?

Recordings of radio and TV programs, home movies of the band performing, bootlegs, unusual photos or odd memorabilia – Townshend and Roger Daltrey want it all.  The word from the band is “If you think it’s rare, we’d like to see it.”

In fact, if you have any early 60s footage of what appears to be four Brits playing a gig, you just might have stumbled upon Who gold. The band performed under a few names, including The Detours and The High Numbers before landing on its famous moniker.

For example, the 1964 film “The High Numbers At The Railway Hotel” was discovered in 2002 in a Netherlands loft.

Any item used will result in the sender receiving full credit and whoever sends in the most outstanding find will receive two VIP tickets to a gig on the next Who tour.

Ah, yes, the next tour.  So far the band has announced only U.K. and Ireland dates.  Or, as Daltrey put it, “This is the beginning of the long goodbye.” Townshend, on the other hand, has referred to the November-December shows as “Hits, Picks, Mixes and Misses.”
