Culture Club In The U.S.A.

The long wait is over for fans of Culture Club as the original members announce six U.S. shows. Tickets for gigs in California, Nevada, New York and New Jersey go on sale this week.

Having announced a December reunion tour of the U.K. earlier this year, Boy George plus bassist Mikey Craig, guitarist/keyboardist Roy Hay and drummer/percussionist Jon Moss now have a new run of shows, beginning in Rancho Mirage, Calif., and wrapping in Atlantic City. The tour marks the first time that the band’s original members have performed together in 14 years.

Culture Club is also promising a new album. Alas, it won’t be released until early 2015.

Coming up a bit sooner is Boy George’s Aug. 14 appearance on NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers.” Also appearing that night will be Taylor Swift, who was born seven years after “Do You Really Want To Hurt Me” was released.

Meanwhile, U.S. fans have six shows to choose from (so far).

Nov. 28 – Atlantic City, N.J., Mark G. Etess Arena
