It may have taken a few days, but Garth Brooks has once again upped the show count for Atlanta; scheduling a second show on one night while adding a new day to host another concert.

Last Friday’s onsale for Atlanta originally had two extra concerts being added to the initial Sept. 19 show at Philips Arena – two on Sept. 19 and one on Sept. 20.  The Athens Banner-Herald reported that sales were temporarily suspended due to “system overloads.” The paper also reported that Brooks told local country station Kicks 101.5 FM that there were delays in transactions and that he and Ticketmaster would “do it right next time.”

Well, guess what?  “Next time” is this weekend.

After meeting with Ticketmaster, Brooks has added two more shows to his Atlanta run – Sept. 20 at 10:30 p.m. and Sept. 21 at 7:30 p.m.  Tickets go on sale Aug. 16 at 9 a.m. EDT.

“I couldn’t ask for a better partner,” Brooks said.  “Ticketmaster’s scalper screening system is a wonderful idea … with that said, all I saw were tickets on every scalping site and the people that just wanted to come to the show could not get in.  The folks at Ticketmaster were totally devoted to achieving our mutual goal … that the on sale this Saturday runs faster and creates an easier process for people who want to come to the show.”
