Yeah! New Karen O Dates

Karen O wants to know “if you’re in the mood for love.” If the answer is yes then you’ll want to find a way to get tickets to her brief fall excursion, otherwise known as her “crush odyssey.” The Yeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman is supporting her debut solo album.

Crush Songs is due out Sept. 8 in the U.K. and Sept. 9 in the U.S via Cult Records. You can preorder a copy on vinyl or CD, which come with a booklet of personal drawings by Karen O featuring handwritten lyrics.

The tunes were recorded around 2006-2007.

“When I was 27, I crushed a lot,” Karen O said, according to Rolling Stone. “These songs were written and recorded in private around this time. They are the soundtrack to what was an ever-continuing love crusade.”

Let’s take a look at her fall itinerary. When we said brief, we really meant it. Shows are scheduled Sept. 9-11 at The McKittrick Hotel in New York, Sept. 12 at Le Poisson Rouge in New York, Sept. 17-19 in Los Angeles at Hollywood Forever Cemetary, Oct. 4-5 at London’s Bush Hall and Oct. 7 in Berlin at Heimathafen Neukölln.

“I apologize in advance that these shows are so few but I guess that makes them all the more special if you can make it SO don’t miss out!” Karen O posted on Facebook Wednesday.

Tickets go on sale Friday, Aug. 15.
