Arny’s MLB Road Trip

Creative Artists Agency and Arny Granat of Jam Productions are on board with plans by the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Major League Baseball for a national roadshow featuring historical artifacts from the Cooperstown, N.Y., museum and state-of-the-art interactive digital media.

The touring exhibit will include a mobile IMAX theatre and 15- to 20-minute film, as well as a series of tech-driven interactive experiences giving fans the opportunity to take “virtual batting practice” against Hall of Fame pitchers and create their own personal baseball cards.

The announcement, made in New York Aug. 6, says the tour will visit major league cities and spring training sites starting in the spring of 2016.

Plans call for the exhibit to visit all 30 major league cities within the first three years, followed by three years of repeat visits to cities of high demand and large markets with minor league teams.

CAA and Granat are good fits for the project: CAA has one of the largest sports agency businesses in the world, and Granat has been behind some of the concert industry’s most successful tours of baseball stadiums with artists including Bob DylanJohn Mellencamp, and Willie Nelson.
