Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s ‘Attic’ Memento

How will Trans-Siberian Orchestra make this year’s holiday tour even better than past outings?  How about performing an album never before played live?

The album TSO is bringing to the stage for the group’s 2014 winter tour is The Christmas Attic.  While side one of the disc includes “Christmas Canon,” one of the Orchestra’s most popular songs, the LP is the only one in the “Christmas Trilogy” that hasn’t been showcased in its entirety.

But that will change come November when Trans-Siberian Orchestra embarks on its annual winter adventure.  Launching in Toledo, Ohio, and Council Bluffs, Iowa, two  touring Orchestras will spread holiday cheer across the country in the form of TSO’s trademark high-tech production finesse and lavish special effects.

“After kicking off the New Year in front of two million fans at Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate, followed by our second European tour, the band felt that a perfect way to end the year would be to perform the only rock opera from the trilogy that has never been seen live,” TSO creator/lyricist/composer Paul O’Neill said.

“As I have always said, ‘It is fun to write the songs, it is fun to record them, but they are never really completed until we perform them in front of a live arena audience.’  Of course the second half of the show will feature TSO iconic classics and fan favorites, such as ‘Wizards In Winter,’ ‘Requiem’ and ‘Christmas Eve / Sarajevo 12/24’.”

The Christmas Attic will receive the deluxe treatment this year, complete with bonus tracks.  A special vinyl edition will also be available.
