NOLA Sees Theatre Revival
New Orleans continues to see a revival in its theatre district, with the sale of the State Palace Theater — boarded up and mostly idle since Hurricane Katrina in 2005 – to a commercial developer for $3.5 million.
Developer Gregor Fox told the New Orleans Times-Picayune he hopes to renovate the building’s exterior and retail tenant space within two years.
