Zac Brown Band Takes The ‘Ice Bucket Challenge’

Not content to be doused by mere buckets filled to the brims with ice cubes and water, the Zac Brown Band ups the ante by adding a fire truck and three construction loaders, all to help out in the fight against ALS.  Video after the jump.

Been seeing a lot of celebs getting soaked by buckets of ice water?  It’s all part of the Ice Bucket Challenge to raise awareness for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) the neurological disorder commonly referred to as “Lou Gehrig’s Disease.”

The idea behind the challenge is simple – dump a bucket of ice water on your head and then challenge others to do the same.  Have someone shoot video of your epic moment and be sure to post the vid on social media with the tags  #icebucketchallenge, #ALSAwareness and @ALSHopeFoundation.   Folks who don’t want to get wet are encouraged to donate to an ALS charity.

Accepting the challenge from Hunter Hayes and clothing retailer Vineyard Vines, the Zac Brown Band took the Ice Bucket Challenge to a new level, as shown in the accompanying video that is also posted on the band’s Facebook page.  Plus, they challenged Jimmy Buffett, Foo Fighters, Garth Brooks and concert industry critic Bob Lefsetz to partake in some icy fun.  Who do you think will take ZBB up on the challenge?
