Update: Man, 55, Dies From Concert Confrontation
Authorities say a Detroit-area man has died from injuries he sustained during a confrontation with a teenager at a Hank Williams Jr. concert.
According to the Oakland County sheriff’s office, the 15-year-old boy shoved the 55-year-old Westland man on DTE Energy Music Theatre’s concourse Sunday night.
The venue is in Independence Township, northwest of Pontiac.
Capt. Christopher says that Robert Kobe died about noon Monday at McLaren Hospital Pontiac.
The sheriff’s department says Kobe fell to the ground, striking his head on the concrete.
The Wayne teen was at the concert with his father. He’s been released pending the completion of an investigation.
