Cat Power On The Road

What are you up to this weekend? A few hours ago Cat Power announced she’s playing a last-minute show in St. Louis to support the Ferguson, Mo., protestors. The news comes on top of a new round of fall dates added to her schedule this week.

Cat Power will show solidarity to the demonstrators protesting the fatal shooting of unarmed teenager Michael Brown by taking the stage Sunday at St. Louis’ Firebird with Dirty Delta. On Facebook she posted, “All proceeds will go to help protestors get out of jail & any needed supplies & food for protestors & flowers for rifles #peace #ferguson #standup #america #responsibility #tripartisan #occupy @occuparty 100%? #occupysummit #streetsummit.”

The new fall dates go along with previously announced appearances at KCRW’s World Festival and Modern Sky Festival.  

Here’s the itinerary:

Sept. 28 – Los Angeles, Calif., Hollywood Bowl (KCRW’S World Festival)
Sept. 29 – Santa Cruz, Calif., The Catalyst  
Oct. 1 – Olympia, Wash., Capitol Theater    
Oct. 2 – Vancouver, British Columbia, The Vogue Theatre 
Oct. 5 – New York, N.Y., SummerStage Central Park / Rumsey Playfield (Modern Sky Festival)
Oct. 6 – Boston, Mass., Paradise Rock Club
Oct. 8 – Toronto, Ontario, The Danforth Music Hall
