The soccer show meant that fewer events were offered for presale and fewer live events took place, but the Germans may have felt well compensated by winning the competition.

The Medusa Group, Eventim’s live music promoters, saw year-on-year revenues increase 6.9 percent to euro 213.6 million ($282 million), but net income tumbled 18.9 percent from euro 23.3 million ($30.7 million) to euro 18.9 million ($24.9 million).

Eventim’s ticketing business benefitted from online sales rising 18.9 percent from 10.3 tickets to 12.2 million, helping to push up revenues by 12.2 percent to euro 129.9 million ($171 million) and net income 20.4 percent from euro 27.8 million ($36.6 million) for euro 33.6 million ($44.2 million).

The Eventim Group’s revenues increased by 8.7 percent to euro 339.5 million ($447.5 million), while net income rose 2.6 percent to euro 65 million ($86 million).
