Exodus’ Blood Lust
The rumble across the continent supporting Slayer launches in November with a two-nighter in Oakland, Calif., and wraps in Detroit in early December.
New on the band’s calendar is a series of headlining gigs following the run with Slayer. With shows planned for Denver, Spokane, Seattle, Billings and other metal-loving towns, Exodus’s upcoming road journey now extends to Dec. 12.
Before Exodus climbs on the Slayer touring machine, the band will head south of the equator for a run through South America followed by shows in Central America and Mexico.
All this mileage is in support of the band’s upcoming album, Blood In, Blood Out, dropping Oct. 14 via Nuclear Blast. The long player is the band’s first release with returning vocalist Steve “Zetro” Souza since 2004’s Tempo Of The Damned.
“When I was working on the record, I was sitting around watching TV series like ‘Gangland’ and all these locked-up prison reality shows,” Exodus’ Gary Holt said. “And I thought, ‘Yeah, that’s like Exodus.’
“It’s a brotherhood. You bleed to get in, you bleed to get out. I’ve been doing this kind of music since I was a teenager and I’ll be doing it ’til I can’t physically do it anymore.”
