Rod Stewart To Bring ‘Hits’ Downunder In 2015

The first 2015 dates announced for Rod Stewart make up a March-April run through Australia that includes a couple of stops in New Zealand.  Presales are scheduled for next week followed by general onsales the week after.

The announcement issued by promoter Frontier Touring says Stewart will bring “The Hits” tour to the continent.  That means a night packed with songs such as “Maggie May,” “Do You Think I’m Sexy?” “Hot Legs,” “Forever Young,” “You Wear It Well,” and “Some Guys Have All the Luck.”

But the above songs represent a mere sliver of what’s in store for fans.  With more than four decades of singles under his belt Stewart could easily fill up a couple of hours.

“I am thrilled to be returning to Australia and New Zealand next year,” Stewart said.  “The audiences are some of the best in the world and I’m looking forward to being at my most Scottish for my first ever concert in Dunedin.”

Joining Stewart will be Australia’s James Reyne.  Here are the dates:

March 21 – Perth, Australia, Pert Arena
March 24 – Melbourne, Australia, Rod Laver Arena
March 28 – Woodend, Australia, Hanging Rock
March 29 – Hindmarsh, Australia, Adelaide Entertainment Centre
April 1 – Darling Harbour, Australia, Qantas Credit Union Arena
April 5 – Pokolbin, Australia, Hope Estate Winery
April 7 – Boondall, Australia, Brisbane Entertainment Centre
April 11 – Dunedin, New Zealand, Forsyth Barr Stadium
