US Airways Center in Phoenix is losing its name. The Tempe, Ariz.-based US Airways merged with American Airlines last year and the Texas-based American Airlines Group is phasing out the US Airways brand.
The home of the NBA’s Phoenix Suns has been named US Airways Center for nearly a decade but the naming rights is set to end October 2015. American Airlines has signed a waiver that allows the Suns to being seeking a new sponsor immediately, even before the current contract expires.
