Another Festival Mishap

Tim Corser helped promote a hip-hop concert at the Perrysburg Community Center featuring Coolio, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and Naughty By Nature Aug. 30. But Coolio allegedly suffered an asthma attack and never performed and only one member of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Layzie Bone, took the stage, according to the local Sentinel-Tribune.

An official for the community center told the paper he grew suspicious of Corser’s dealings with booking agents in the weeks leading up to the show and realized after looking at contracts that two groups were not planning to attend.

“I didn’t know what he was doing behind the scenes,” Jason Craig, the community center’s director of operations, said. “Those artists weren’t booked.”

Craig added that he was left with $35,000 worth of bills, including $15,000 to police for security, and plans to cover the debt personally by selling rental properties.

“Clearly I dropped the ball by not keeping my eye on things a lot better,” Craig told the paper.

Corser previously promoted the Rockapalooza festival in Jackson, Mich., but decided to call it quits on the fest earlier this year in light of the fraud charges.
