Michael Franti Unplugs For West Coast

Promising stories, songs and more, Michael Franti will launch his first ever acoustic tour with a series of dates along the West Coast.  Destinations for the Spearhead leader and his guitar include British Columbia, Southern California and several stops in between.

“In every show that I do with my band Spearhead, I always take time to do a few songs with just me and my guitar and strip it down to the bare bones so the lyrics and melody can shine through,” Franti said.  I’ve done lots of acoustic sets but never an entire tour, so I am thrilled to be doing this for the first time!”

Fans can expect songs from Franti’s tenth album, All People, as well as new material.  But don’t go thinking this is going to be a low-keyed outing compared to his tours with Spearhead.  He may be unplugged but he’ll still pack plenty of energy.

“When I play acoustically, it’s still an energetic dance affair, but I space stillness between songs to explain their origins, share a few stories about my life and the world and tell more than my fair share of jokes” Franti said.
