Tina Turner Exhibit Opening At Old Tenn. School

A restored one-room schoolhouse where Tina Turner attended class while growing up in West Tennessee is being turned into a museum about the singer.

A grand opening is scheduled Friday for the Tina Turner Museum Flagg Grove School exhibit on the grounds of the West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center in Brownsville.

Turner attended the school while growing up in Nutbush.

The school closed in the 1960s and was used as a barn before it was moved from Nutbush to Brownsville in 2012.
