Lulu Announces Dates ‘To Fans With Love’

Lulu is making plans for next spring with this week’s announcement of the routing for her first solo U.K. tour in more than 10 years. The Scottish singer/actress/TV personality has also been working on some new music.

A release date hasn’t been set for her new album, which will mark her first collection of original tunes since 2005’s A Little Soul In Your Heart. The forthcoming LP is described as “a return to her soulful roots.”

The setlist for the U.K. tour will be made up of Lulu’s hits as well as songs that have influenced her life. As for the hits, you’ll probably hear “To Sir With Love,” the Eurovision Song Contest winning entry “Boom Bang-a-Bang,” and “Shout.”

“I’ve always loved doing live gigs,” Lulu said. “After performing at the legendary BB King’s NYC last year and now starting to record the album, I’m re-invigorated and ready to get back on the road again. Even before I ever had a hit record I was doing three or four live gigs each week.

“Recently I’ve had a renewed sense of purpose. I just feel a compulsion to make this new record and, because of that, the songs are just pouring out. My family always said I came into this world singing and I’d be happy to go out of this world singing – but I have a lot more to say before that happens.”
