Jimmy Page Up Close & Personal
Celebrating the release of his self-titled official photographic autobiography, Page will talk about his life “from 13-year-old choirboy to ’60s session musician, through The Yardbirds to Led Zeppelin and beyond.” Presented by Genesis Publications in conjunction with Guitar World and Guitar Aficionado, the chat is slated for the Theatre At Ace Hotel Nov. 12.
Fans can expect Page to dip into his personal archives for unseen photos and memorabilia.
“I always like to do something different – if you’re inspired by an idea, really make something of that inspiration,” Page said. “That goes for music, as well as anything else – even putting a book together! To have a photographic autobiography is a totally different way of looking at things, but it does the job very well and I think it will bring a lot of pleasure to people.”
Originally published as a limited-edition with all 2,500 copies signed by the author, “Jimmy Page by Jimmy Page” sold out within weeks of its 2010 release. The book is being released as a more accessible and affordable printing this month.
