Neil Diamond Expands World Tour Routing

Thanks to a run of dates in Europe, Neil Diamond’s world tour schedule now stretches into July 2015. Plus, his new album is available for streaming now, a week ahead of next week’s release date.

Melody Road can be heard at NPR.org as part of its “First Listen” series.

“If you’re a fan who’s been with the 73-year-old performer since his early days, Melody Road will satisfy,” NPR declares. “It’s clearly aimed at the loyalists who still make Diamond a major hit on the road, singing along to chorus after chorus of ‘Sweet Caroline.’”

NPR describes the LP as “the Real Neil.” You can expect “strings, horns, a bounty of rousing choruses, and that ability to balance the sentimental and the profound that so many listeners admire.”

The previously announced U.S./Canada excursion kicks off Feb. 27 in Allentown. North America dates are booked through the end of May.
