Nov. 16 is the day you need to enter into your scheduler.  Taking place at the CBS Radford Back Lot in Studio City, Calif., the event will honor Disney Music Group President Ken Bunt with the Foundation’s Humanitarian Award.

Bunt’s responsibilities and achievements as Disney Music Group president make for a list that would seem daunting if not downright impossible to mere mortals.  Overseeing The Walt Disney Company’s recorded music and music publication operations, Bunt is the top man in the corporate chart that includes Hollywood Records, Walt Disney Records and Disney Music Publishing.  Artists and projects listed under this vast business umbrella include Demi Lovato, ZZ Ward, the “Frozen” soundtrack, Grace Potter And The Nocturnals, Lucy Hale, and the “Teen Beach Movie” soundtrack.

In addition to live music, this year’s West Coast Family Day will include carnival games, rides, attractions and great food.

Created in 1998 on the East Coast as a way for parents and children to spend some quality time together, Family Day helps raise funds for the T.J. Martell Foundation to finance innovative medical research focused on finding cures for leukemia, cancer and AIDS.
