Aussie Dates: McLachlan, Lamb Return

Sarah McLachlan and Lamb return to Australia after lengthy absences. Both tours are through Live Nation.

McLachlan does four theatres as part of the Shine On world trek Feb. 5-11. Her last visit was in 2005.

Lamb, which returned for one-off festival appearances in between, does its first national run in five years. The drum & bass group makes five theatre stops Feb. 8-14.

Train, already confirmed as headliner for the 2015 East Coast Blues Festival, does theatres in Sydney and Melbourne April 5-7 for Live Nation. Train, alongside Slash, played the Oct. 5 National Rugby League (NRL) grand final before a record 84,000 at ANZ Stadium in Sydney. Its viewing audience of 4.6 million made it the most watched game in NRL history.

Dainty Group has household drawcards John Farnham and Olivia Newton-John together with a band and 60-piece orchestra. Spanning five decades of hits, the April 4-19 run takes in four arenas and two wineries.

Regular visitor The Script returns for Frontier Touring for five arena dates April 24 to May 2 and New Zealand May 5.

American Music Theatre, Lancaster, Pa.

Frontier also has UK band The Vamps, whose singles hit platinum status downunder, doing five stadiums Jan. 23-30. They are teamed with Sydney chart-toppers Short Stack, which recently re-emerged after a hiatus.

UK punk pioneer Pauline Murray makes her debut for Rock Against Boredom, with four club dates in Sydney and Melbourne Oct. 30 to Nov. 9, paired with Australian singer-songwriter Deborah Conway.

New York City-based Young Magic, made up of Indonesian vocalist Melati Malay and Australian producer Isaac Emmanuel, do four clubs and a festival through Strange Yonder Nov. 21-28.
