Neil: No More CSN

In an interview with radio host Howard Stern, Neil Young said he will never perform with Crosby, Stills & Nash again. He also said he wasn’t pleased with David Crosby‘s criticisms of Young’s choices in life.

Crosby spoke negatively of Young’s girlfriend, presumably actress Daryl Hannah.

Young wouldn’t address his former bandmate by name, saying, “There’s love there. There’s just nothing else there.”

In September Crosby told the Idaho Statesman, “I happen to know that he’s hanging out with somebody that’s a purely poisonous predator now. And that’s karma. He’s gonna get hurt. But I understand why it happened. I’m just sad about it. I’m always sad when I see love get tossed in the gutter.”

Last week Young reportedly made a similar comment about the prospects of a CSNY tour, telling the audience at Philadelphia’s Academy of Music that the act “will never tour again, ever,” according to Ultimate Classic Rock.

Crosby responded to the news by tweeting Oct. 10, “I hear Neil said ‘there will never be any more CSNY shows. That’s like saying there are mountains in Tibet. We know Neil … we already knew.”

After a fan asked Crosby asked for an explanation, the guitarist/singer/songwriter tweeted, “He is very angry with me.”
