A$AP Ferg & YG’s Connection

After spending the spring opening for MIA and the summer playing festivals, A$AP Ferg has made plans to hit the road with YG this fall. The brief outing – “The Bestcoast Connection Tour” – begins Nov. 13 in Philadelphia.

Both rappers are supporting their debut studio albums. A$AP Ferg, who named “Rookie of the Year” at the 2013 BET Music Awards, put out his first LP, Trap Lord, last summer. Pitchfork included the release on its list of “Albums of the Year: Honorable Mention.” Rolling Stone named Trap Lord as No. 9 on its compilation of what the magazine considered the 20 best hip-hop albums of 2013.

YG released his debut, My Krazy Life, in March. In its album review, Rolling Stone says My Krazy Life “is the most ambitious hip-hop concept in a minute: a 24-hour ride where he gives detailed instruction on how to rob a home – then gives even more details about the consequences.” USA Today notes, “YG has crafted a worthy new chapter to [Compton’s] legacy.”
