Cold War Kids Announces 2015 Dates

With Cold War Kids’ new album out today, the only thing that could make Tuesday any better for fans would be a new tour. Well, what do ya know, that’s exactly what we’ve got! The indie rock band has nailed down nearly 30 gigs between January and March.

Hold My Home, which marks Cold War Kids’ fifth LP, is the follow-up to 2013’s Dear Miss Lonelyhearts.

In its review of the album, Paste writes, “Hold My Home is arguably the strongest record—with the most consistent highlights—that the band has yet to deliver, and it bodes well for their future. In losing founding members, the group has found a more captivating identity and seems at peace with the road forward.”

The lineup features vocalist/pianist/guitarist Nathan Willett, guitarist/vocalist Dann Gallucci, bassist Matt Maust, drummer/percussionist Joe Plummer and multi-instrumentalist Matthew Schwartz. Guitarist/pianist/vocalist Jonnie Russell departed in 2012, followed by drummer/percussionist Matt Aveiro in 2013.

After you properly digest the new tunes, you’ll want to pick a show to attend. After all, as MTV News points out, “Seeing CWK live is seeing them at their best. It’s a stage show full of raucous vigor … there’s never a dull moment.”
