Dutch DJ superstar Armin van Buuren’s A State Of Trance Festival makes its Australian debut early 2015, at Melbourne Hisense Arena Feb. 6 and Sydney Showground Feb. 7.

Sax player Bobby Keys is on “medical leave” from the Rolling Stones tour, which kicks off in Adelaide Oct. 25. Keys is replaced by Karl Denson.

Sydney is getting two new venues. The City of Sydney is reviving Paddington Town Hall as a 700-capacity music, theatre and comedy hub. Kings Cross Hotel relaunches as a live music venue Nov. 8.

Meanwhile, Brian and Jo Lizotte will close two of their three Lizotte’s clubs (including one in Sydney) mid-2015 citing the need for more leisure time.
