Huey Lewis, Richard Marx On ‘The 80s Cruise’

Produced by Entertainment Cruise Productions and sailing out of Fort Lauderdale for a Feb. 28-March 6 Caribbean adventure, “The 80s Cruise” also includes performances by Kool & the Gang, Starship, A Flock Of Seagulls, Modern English, Naked Eyes, Tiffany, Wang Chung and more.

Who’s got the ’80s cred to host this seagoing extravaganza?  Former MTV VJs Nina Blackwood, Mark Goodman and Alan Hunter will be on hand to help you relive the era of Ronald Reagan, the Falkland Islands War and “Miami Vice.”

“We wanted to build a cruise that is as wild about the ’80s as the fans who love the amazing music and lifestyle from that moment in pop culture are,” ECP administrative director Dave Jetton said.  “So we created a vacation experience that is consistent with our dedication to top service, accommodations and music production.  To put all of that and the magic of the ’80s on one cruise is such a fun concept.  We cannot wait for ‘The ’80s Cruise.’”

Promising a “gnarly prom” along with a Back To The ’80s Night, a Neon Beach Party, an ’80s movie costume party, along with other tubular events, the trip takes you to Grand Turk Island and stops in San Juan Puerto Rico and St. Thomas.  The ship will also dock at private island Half Moon Cay for a day.
