Silverstein’s ‘Waterfront’ Anniversary

Next August will mark 10 years since Silverstein released its second album, Discovering The Waterfront.  Now the post-hardcore band is celebrating the occasion with a January-February outing that includes Beartooth, Hands Like Houses, Major League and My Iron Lung.

The London Music Hall in London, Ontario, is the launching point for Silverstein’s “Discovering The Waterfront” tour.  Playing the album from start to finish, Silverstein has booked shows across North America and back, with the adventure concluding at Toronto’s Danforth Music Hall.

“10 years later we still feel so passionate about Discovering The Waterfront,” vocalist Shane Told said.  “A lot of times as a musician you go back and listen to your old work and wish you could change some things, but with Discovery I still feel like everything is in the right place.

“It was a special record where everything came together so well.  For both us and our fans, we grew up with these songs and now to be together under one roof all celebrating them is going to be a special, once in a lifetime event.”

Silverstein had been a band for five years when it released Discovering The Waterfront.  The group from Burlington, Ontario, is currently working on a new album.
