Kenny Chesney Taps Eric Church For Stadiums

Kenny Chesney’s “Big Revival Tour” will get a boost from the Church Choir when the country star and Eric Church re-team for five stadium gigs beginning May 9 in Indianapolis.

Having announced in October that he and Jason Aldean will play select stadiums in 2015, today Chesney picked another country star for a few mega-venues.  The run promises all the fun from Chesney’s 2013 stadium shows that included Church on the lineup.

“There is something about the way Eric connects with my audience that left me feeling like he made the No Shoes Nation Tour something special!” Chesney said.  “He attacks the stage with so much force – and his songs really speak to the people who’re fighting the fight to get by – and I love that about what he does onstage.”

With Brantley Gilbert and Chase Rice also on the ticket, “The Big Revival Tour” featuring Church includes stops in Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Philadelphia and Detroit.  Here’s the routing:

May 9 – Indianapolis, Ind., Lucas Oil Stadium
May 30 – Pittsburgh, Pa., Heinz Field
June 13 – Atlanta, Ga., The Georgia Dome
July 11 – Philadelphia, Pa., Lincoln Financial Field
Aug. 22 – Detroit, Mich., Ford Field

“Some of the most fun I’ve ever had on tour was last summer with Kenny,” Church said.  “He’s an artist that isn’t afraid to let you come full blast and do what you do.  It’s rare you get to tour with someone you respect and you are friends with.  I can’t wait to do it again.”
