Evolution, Primary Wave Merge
Evolution Management has been acquired by independent marketing, management and publishing company Primary Wave, according to a Nov. 10 announcement.
Managers joining Primary Wave from Evolution include founder Mark Burg, Michael Menchel, Tiffany Kuzon, Brad Kaplan, Margot Menzel and Ben Press. Stephen Gates, Sekka Scher and Data Patack join Primary Wave’s New York office.
“Mark [Burg] and I have been friends for decades and over the years, we’ve completed many successful business deals together,” Primary Wave CEO Larry Mestel said in the announcement. “This was an inevitable partnership and now, as a formal alliance, we will combine our companies’ expertise and relationships in music, TV and film.”
While both companies are primarily known for TV/Film management and production, Primary Wave also has a substantial music clientele, including CeeLo Green, Melissa Etheridge, Cypress Hill, Eric Benet, Tank, Natalie Imbruglia, The Go-Go’s, Trevor Jackson, Ginuwine, and Cris Cab, according to a statement.
