Fisher was a violinist and hi-fi pioneer who founded Fisher Radio Company and financed a 1973 renovation of the hall.

Lincoln Center officials say proceeds from naming rights will finance a new renovation project expected to cost more than $500 million.

Under the agreement announced Nov. 13, the renovated concert hall will feature prominent tributes to Fisher, who died in 1994.
