A TV production company recently got the OK from Bayonne’s city council to construct an outdoor venue at the site that could hold 3,000 to 5,000 people, according to the Jersey Journal.
Donnell Benjamin Productions’ Robert Donnell told the paper he expects to have a 40,000-square-foot pavilion constructed by spring.
“On some occasions, everyone will be under the pavilion,” he said. “On other occasions, we’ll be out on the lawn.”
Events could take place between April and October, the Journal reported, and New York radio station WHTZ-FM has apparently already expressed an interest.
