Extreme’s ‘Pornograffitti’ Adventure

It’s “an evening with” Extreme as the Boston-based band returns to the road in January for the first leg of its “Pornograffitti Live” tour celebrating the 25th anniversary of the group’s classic album.

Released the same year smoking was banned on all cross-country flights in the U.S., the Hubble Space Telescope was launched via the Space Shuttle Discovery and Microsoft released Windows 3.0, Pornograffitti is Extreme’s best-selling album.  The disc spawned several singles, including “Decadence Dance,” “Get The Funk Out,” “Hole Hearted” and the mega-selling “More Than Words.”

And Extreme – Nuno Bettencourt, Gary Cherone, Pat Badger, and Kevin Figueiredo – will not only play the LP from top-to-bottom but the band will follow it with a greatest-hits set.

“These shows are going to be real special,” Bettencourt said.  “This record represents a great moment in time for the band.  We are pretty fired up to do it.”
