The Decemberists’ First 2015 U.S. Dates

New North American dates from The Decemberists – what a beautiful thing! After booking a European tour earlier this month, the indie rockers announced the first leg of its 2015 excursion through the States and provinces.

Colin Meloy and the gang are supporting their first full-length studio album since 2011’s The King Is Dead. Marking the band’s seventh LP, What A Terrible World, What A Beautiful World is due out Jan. 20 on Capitol Records. The Decemberists produced the new tunes with long-time collaborator Tucker Martine, who has also worked with My Morning Jacket and Neko Case.

You’ll also want to pick up the band’s limited-edition “Make You Better” 7-inch, which featured the exclusive B-side “Fits and Starts.” The recording will be available Nov. 28 as part of the annual “Record Store Day.”
