You won’t have to wait until winter’s chill rattles your bones because CRB has cooked up something special for Thanksgiving weekend.  Arriving on Black Friday is the band’s Try Rock ’N’ Roll, a limited edition 12-inch vinyl EP featuring four cover songs.  But you better move fast because only 1,400 have been pressed.

The disc features studio tracks:  “Hello L.A.,” “Bye Bye Birmingham,” and the Mel Tillis classic, “Goodbye Wheeling.”  The one live track on the four-song collection is “Shake Rattle and Roll,” the hit song made famous by both Big Joe Turner and Bill Haley & His Comets in 1954.

Currently touring California through Dec. 7, The Chris Robinson Brotherhood will play Denver Dec. 30-31 and mosey westward, stopping in Telluride, Colo., Jan. 2 and Park City, Utah, Jan. 7.  The band then heads to Florida for appearances at the Sunshine Music & Blues Festival in St. Petersburg Jan. 17 and Boca Raton Jan. 18.
