One Direction Expands 2015 Plans

One Direction has reserved a nice chunk of space on its 2015 calendar for a visit through the boy band’s homeland. The U.K. and Ireland will host more than a dozen shows between late September and October.

“We’re very excited to be going back to our home, where it all started for us,” Niall Horan said in a video message posted on the band’s YouTube page. “We cannot wait to see you all. Thank you so much for all your support. … Love you. See you soon!”

Horan hails from Mullingar, Country Westmeath, Ireland. The rest of the guys – Zayn  Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and William Tomlinson – are from England. Now that 1D is the biggest boy band in the world, it’s sometimes hard to remember that the singers might never have teamed up if it wasn’t for Simon Cowell & Britain’s “X Factor.”
