More Nights With Foo Fighters

Some cities just can’t get enough of the Foo Fighters. The band has just added second shows in Englewood, Colo.; Anaheim, Calif.; and Inglewood, Calif. In other Foo news, the guys are playing an intimate show this week at New York’s Irving Plaza, with tickets priced at $20.    

The Irving Plaza gig is scheduled Dec. 5 – the same night the eighth and final episode of “Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways” airs on HBO. The TV documentary series follows the band’s journey to record its latest album, Sonic Highways, in multiple recording studios throughout the States with the help of special local guests on each song. 

The album was released in November on RCA Records. The final track on Sonic Highways, “I Am A River,” was recorded in New York with guests Tony Visconti and Kristeen Young.

Tune in to HBO on Friday at 9 p.m. to see how the recording went down. The Foo Fighters take the stage at Irving Plaza an hour later.

Presales for the new 2015 dates are ongoing now. The public onsale begins Friday, Dec. 5 at 10 a.m. local time.

As for the Irving Plaza show, tickets will only be sold at the venue box office, starting at 5 p.m. Friday. Fans are not permitted to line up before 3 p.m. on Dec. 5. Tickets are limited to two per person.
