A Few More Dates: Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney, Mariah Carey, Bill Maher, Lenny Kravitz

Kenny Chesney schedules two nights in Las Vegas as part of his “Big Revival Tour” … Taylor Swift adds a Dublin show to “The 1989 World Tour” … Mariah Carey announces another Christmas show … Bill Maher makes New Year’s Plans … Lenny Kravitz expands Aussie itinerary.

As for now, Kenny Chesney’s new Las Vegas gigs represent his earliest 2015 plans. The shows are scheduled April 3-4 at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

So far the country superstar has booked more than two dozen dates next year in support of his 16th studio album, The Big Revival, which was released in September. The track “American Kids” is up for a Grammy for best country song.

The 2015 tour features Jason Aldean, Eric Church, Brantley Gilbert, Chase Rice and Jake Owen on select dates.

No Shoes Nation fan club presales are ongoing now for the Las Vegas show as well as the following recently announced gigs: Uncasville, Conn., at Mohegan Sun Arena April 24-25; Houston’s BBVA Compass Stadium May 22; and Columbia, Md., at Merriweather Post Pavilion May 27. Chase Rice appears as a special guest in Uncasville, Houston and Columbia. Jake Owen takes the stage in Columbia and Houston. 

Additional presales are scheduled this week. Tickets for all four shows go on sale to the general public Dec. 12.

Fans have one more chance to celebrate the holidays with Mariah Carey. After selling out her five previously announced shows at New York’s Beacon Theatre – Dec. 15, 16, 18, 20, 21 – the “Queen of Christmas” has added a sixth gig at the venue Dec. 22.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of Mariah’s first holiday album, Merry Christmas. The LP has been certified 5x platinum, thanks to selling more than 14 million copies. The diva plans on performing holiday classics and original tunes from the album along with selections from the LP’s follow-up, 2010’s Merry Christmas II You.

Taylor Swift is extending her June European jaunt to include a show in Dublin. Following a run of shows in Germany, Netherlands and England, the pop singer will perform at Dublin’s 3Arena June 29.

The European excursion is scheduled in between batches of North American gigs in June and July.

The world tour in support of Swift’s official pop debut, 1989, will keep her busy with more than 70 dates already scheduled around the globe. The trek kicks off with two nights in Tokyo May 5-6.

1989 single “Shake It Off” is nominated for Grammy awards for best pop solo performance, song of the year and record of the year. The tune also helped earn Max Martin a nod for producer of the year.

That lucky duck Bill Maher is ringing in 2015 in Hawaii. Marking his fourth set of New Year’s Eve performances on the islands, the comedian/TV host/political commentator is spending Dec. 31 at Honolulu’s Neal S. Blaisdell Center. The next evening you can find Maher – aka “the Don Ho of New Year’s” – in Kahului at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center.

“I think everybody wants to be in Hawaii in December … This was my plan all year, get my ass booked there for New Year’s,” Maher said.

Although special guests aren’t guaranteed, you never know who might show up. Last year actor Sean Penn and director Michael Moore appeared to introduce Peal Jam’s Eddie Vedder, who played a surprise acoustic set.

Following last week’s announcement that Lenny Kravitz is playing Australia’s 26th annual Byron Bay Bluesfest, the rocker has added a few Aussie headline gigs to go along with the festival appearance.

Kravitz is supporting his 10th studio album, Strut, which was released in September on his own Roxie Records.

The Aussie journey begins at Bluesfest in Tyagarah at the Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm April 2.
