AXS’ Denver Deal

AEG’s AXS is the exclusive ticket seller for all city-owned and -operated venues in Denver following a recent vote by officials.

The agreement is estimated to generate more than $4.7 million in net revenue during the contract period, which runs through December 2019. Under the terms of the deal, AXS gets $3 per ticket and promises to sell at least 275,000 tickets to shows each year. If it fails to reach that goal, it must reimburse the city for those fees.

AXS is also expected to broadcast a minimum of 30 shows via AXS TV over the term of the agreement and faces $10,000 per show penalties for missing the mark, the contract notes.

The city reportedly compared bids from Ticketmaster, Altitude Tickets and TicketsWest, before making its decision.
